This is a medium sized vipers. (75cm)

Distribution:

 It is possibly present in between these two locations

Habitat:
This is a montane species (1500-1800m), it is found in grassland areas with rocky slopes and sparse shrubs.

Diet:
 small mammals and lizards

Reproduction:
this species is viviparous.

Hibernation:
probably to october from March/April. For breeding in captivity it's important to make a hibernation period of 3-4 months.

Conservation actions:
This species is listed on Appendix II of the Bern Convention. It is not known to occur in any protected areas. There is a need to regulate any possible trade in this species. More research and monitoring of this species is needed. there is in the red list IUCN category endangered
